MODMEC TRACKER
new type of two-axis tracking installation
A solar tracker, also called a tracking system, is a construction that allows a photovoltaic installation to track the movement of the sun and position it in the ideal setting - all this in order to obtain the maximum effects that photovoltaics offer. MODMEC Tracker is not only cheaper to build than currently known other two-axis trackers, but thanks to the IT solutions it uses solar energy better than competitive solutions. We are currently cooperating in Poland with the ENEA Capital Group, with which we have built a prototype (7kWh) and research installation. MODMEC tracker has been submitted to the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland - the project is under evaluation, with a very good chance of being granted a patent, the protection of which will be extended around the world.


MODMEC TRACKER consists of: * One gear motor to follow from east to west, * One linear gear motor for correcting panels in north-south orientation, * Dedicated control cabinet with its own power supply (including emergency), * Internet network connection, * Limit sensors for the safety of structures and drives, * Inductive sensors to confirm the safe position, * Absolute encoders to control and read the current position of the tracker in real time, Dedicated application for remote control: tracker location, electricity production on it, monitoring, * GPS determining location, * Sensors that prevent panels on the tracker and rows of trackers from shadowing each other, * Active PV farm controller, * Frames for PV panels adapted to their various dimensions, * Weather station for reading sunlight, wind speed and direction (determining boundary conditions for a safe position), rainfall amount (data is archived), * Lubrication-free bearings resistant to moisture, dirt and UV radiation.
Depending on the cooperation model, MODMEC provides a number of services that are necessary to implement a turnkey project: * 3D designing and technical documentation (SolidWorks), * Providing with dedicated MODMEC TRACKER manufacturing technology for licensing purposes, * Preparation of all necessary documentation for the construction project, * Delivering BOM (bill of materials) for a specific PV farm with its spatial layout, * Support in production planning, * Supervision of the construction, prefabrication and assembling, * Installation of control cabinets, * Full installation and starting the operations, * Application training for MODMEC TRACKERS’ users, * Mechanical servicing – warranty and post-warranty, * Software servicing – 24/7.
